Macarons by Maddie Lu is a family owned business focused on offering a warm and welcoming environment with great customer service that offers different gourmet macarons in over 24 different flavors baked fresh every day!

The original bakery Something Sweet by Maddie Lu started in May of 2015 in Coon Rapids Minnesota. Baking from scratch, custom cakes, cupcakes, and desserts.  Laurie and Maddie, mother and daughter, have combined their baking and business experience to create a comfortable and welcoming local bakery. Later on expanding the business by opening Macarons By Maddie Lu in December of 2017 in Mall of America and in August of 2018 opening Something Sweet By Maddie Lu in Miller Hill Mall in Duluth. Most recently, reopening Macarons by Maddie Lu in Blaine in June of 2023!

Maddie received her degree from Le Cordon Bleu, Laurie from Rasmussen Business College.  Maddie has experience as an intern at Disney World, working at the Boardwalk Bakery.
